ReplyDeleteI'm in thanks. I will read Jeannine's paper asap. Those questions are awesome!! makes me wanna read it now.
ReplyDeleteok Jeannine I read your paper. A side from what I think might be spelling errors, I could be wrong after I read the whole sentence. But this paper is pretty powerful. I like the connection of that big defined word of ALOHA. It means so much more. And sustainability... yipe that's how it was as Howard Corsel always said. Your students also gave good data collection for your paper. The way they took to using the technology and their own students and finding how technology can work in so many other ways to help the kuleana of learning! Powerful, powerful. I need to quote some of this stuff in my research paper. We don't realize how much culture does help the child to learn. No matter what the culture. Oh yeah and the best part is your mention of pidgin. We blended all the cultures to come up with that. Aren't we smart? For example the word Ha'ole is still a pretty good word for the main-landers. Go see the movie Princess Ka'iulani. Watch the white people and how they treat her. Then compare to what you wrote. We have to go away to learn. Nope now you come here and teach us. In that last book you gave it also talks about the culture of a student and how learning from home is an influence of learning in school. This past year I was watching how students learn and then go from their with teaching. It was a lot but it truely makes life a bit less stressful. thanks for a wonderful model of how my paper should be organized. Whew that is lots of detail of a tail. hahahaha!
